HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Here we are heading into the holiday season once again.

Each year seems like it goes by faster and faster.

One thing for sure is that I am super grateful for each and everyone of you. Thank you for connecting by replying to my emails, participating in programs and/or providing me with feedback and/or shout outs. It all helps in building our connection and to support each of you.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, bringing good food, family and friends together. I love how we can focus on the connection without the exchange of material gifts.

In order to experience more ease this holiday season… We have been focusing on experiences together as a family, traveling to new places, days out, hiking, walks with dogs, theater, sporting events.

This year we will begin Thanksgiving day with a Turkey Trot, not running, just walking. Then family will come to us.

I have released the idea of having to have a perfectly set table, perfectly clean house or perfect menu.

I trust and know all will fall into place because we will be together.

Here are some ways to help you feel more at home in your body and home this Thanksgiving.

1) Focus on activities which bring you JOY – Engage in the fun activities like decorating your homes, catching up with old friends. Practice being in the moment and focus on what the season is really about: spending time with loved ones – being grateful for what we have, and expressing our thanks.

2) Focus on the Veggies – Fill your plate with lots of colorful veggies. They will make you feel like you are eating a lot more than you are and give you the fiber, water, nutrients to help you build your microbiome. There are so many amazing autumn veggies, pick a couple of new ones to try!!

3) Focus on Building Immunity – A lot of over eating, drinking alcohol, & eating treats goes on this time of the year and this is when sugar/processed foods can lower our immunity. Make sure you take a good omegaprobiotic, Vit D, raw zinc, and that you are activating your system.

4) Focus on Helping Others – Adopt a child or family in need for the holidays by shopping for their gifts and making them feel special. As I have said before it is the season of giving! The FOOD BANK lines are long – 40% of the country right now is concerned about where their next meal is coming from.

5) Focus on Drinking – Drinking warm water that is, starting the day with warm water and lemon and then sipping hot water every 20 minutes.  All the extra running around, cooking and traveling can make you dehydrated. Try upgrading your water: add lemon, ginger, cardamon, fennel.

One of my favorite ways to hydrate this season is with my AXIO drink– provides me with energy, focus and essential nutrients. When you are out having a cocktail, make sure to have a drink of water in between. Use water between meals – not snacks!
